Two Pittsburgh home tours and two garden events next weekend

May 27th, 2006 · No Comments

Next weekend should be a busy one for those in Pittsburgh who love to see great homes (or just spy on their neighbors!) and add color to their own home’s exterior.

On Saturday, June 3rd, the South Side is hosting the 15th Historic South Side Home Tour.  The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review coverage can be found here.  The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has an in-depth preview of one home on the tour.

Next Saturday is also the Annual Hosta Show run by the The Daffodil and Hosta Society of Western Pennsylvania.  Pittsburgh-Tribune Review coverage is available here.

If you’ve already got hostas and you are tired of them, you can trade them at the Pittsburgh Garden Swap, which is also next Saturday.  Check them out and support their blog!  The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review coverage is here.

Don’t wear yourself out on Saturday though! On Sunday, June 4th, 17 homes in Observatory Hill will open their door to guests of the Observatory Hill House Tour.  You can find photos of past home tours available on their website.  Apparently, they are busily preparing, because they haven’t updated the website to reflect this year’s home tour!  Details are available in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review article.
