Unfortunately, they aren’t addressing complaints about the price.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that EZ Pass is coming to local toll roads around Pittsburgh. EZ Pass allows motorists to bypass turnpike lines and cash tolls through an electronic payment system. Work will be started on the Greensburg Pike this Friday. The Findlay Connector will have EZ Pass when it is opened this fall. The portion of the Mon-Fayette Expressway that is already open will get EZ Pass next year.
You can find out how to sign up for EZ Pass on The Pennsylvania Turnpike website.
The turnpike CEO said that the inability to use EZ Pass left a “big hole” in the system. In my experience, the big hole in the turnpike system is the hole left in your wallet. The toll for a car to go from the Ohio border to Philadelphia is now $22.00.
