Elmhurst Group to build Schenley Place in Oakland

The Elmhurst Group announced Thursday that it plans to construct an office building at Bigelow and Ruskin in Oakland, adjacent to First Baptist Church.  The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review said that the building was opposed by local historical groups and residents, who sought a smaller building.

New neighbor for Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates: North Shore Live! in planning stages

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported today that the Cordish Company hopes to get started “in the not too distant future” with North Shore Live!, a new “entertainment district” between Heinz Field and PNC Park.  It will include an open air concert venue, restaurants, and shops.  A Pittsburgh Tribune-Review article from April has a PDF map with the location.
