Coming soon or already here? Downtown living in Pittsburgh’s Strip District

June 7th, 2006 · No Comments

Rugby Realty has announced that it is planning to put condominiums (as well as first floor retail stores) at 21st and Smallman.  Awaiting city approval and the completion of the purchase, it expects that construction could begin in a year to 18 months, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

A number of new residential options in the Strip District have sprung up recently or are in the works.  The building will join 930 Penn Avenue, the Cork Factory, Strip Lofts, Brake House Lofts, and the “Pink Building.”  You can read more about loft living in Pittsburgh and living in the Strip District from these earlier Pittsburgh Post-Gazette articles.

There are advertisements for other real estate opportunities in the Strip here (though I haven’t checked to see if they are recent or not).
