Pittsburgh ranks 35th

June 7th, 2006 · No Comments

The Pittsburgh Business Times reported today that Worldwide ERC and Primary Relocation ranked Pittsburgh 35th out of 50 large cities for lifestyle options for families on the move, in a report of such importance that I can’t find it yet on the internet.

Since I’m usually a glass is half full type of person, let’s look at this on the positive side:

1. Pittsburgh beat Philadelphia (which ranked 44th).
2. They took “an in-depth climate analysis” into account, or Pittsburgh would be ranked higher!
3. Pittsburgh is still considered a large city!
4. Headline could have been “Pittsburgh one of the best cities for relocation!” instead of “Pittsburgh ranks in lower half of best cities for relocation.”
5. Perhaps the authors of the study have never been to Pittsburgh.
