If there’s no agreement for additional funding between federal, state, and local officials in the next month (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review says June 23, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says July 15), then the plans for the T extension to the North Shore will probably be scrapped.
It seems a shame to lose $320 million in federal grants and a tool to aid the revitalization of the North Shore because the parties can’t agree on who will pay the last $35 million.
