It looks like there is more money to board up vacant and broken down homes in Pittsburgh then there is to provide a TEMPORARY shelter for the homeless during the All-Star Game.  What a shame!  The plans for a temporary shelter, which according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review have received lukewarm support, still aren’t finalized. 

On that note, I’m wondering how the Redd up Pittsburgh call from the Mayor has worked, since the earliest event scheduled on Redd Up Pittsburgh is July 10th.  I know that some in Pittsburgh are talking a good game: tonight I’m just wondering if they can follow up (on casinos, wireless, fifth/forbes, sports arenas, homeless shelters, cleanup, roads, etc.).
