Pittsburgh real estate news round-up from past week

Cranberry Woods Office Park, home to the Pittsburgh Marriott North hotel and the Regional Learning Alliance, is getting a fourth office building.

The Murrysville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking input on the development of components to the Murrysville Community Park, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

There is going to be a fight over a drive-through for a Walgreens in Point Breeze.  Construction of the drive through would eliminate three victorian homes.

A proposed subdivision across from Norwin Hills Shopping Center in North Huntingdon has been delayed again by the planning commission.

The Pittsburgh City Council approved the sale of land in Lincoln-Lemington for a Family Dollar.  The Lincoln-Larimer community group lost out.  Story via Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Point Park University will begin construction within a month on a new building for dance instruction on the Boulevard of the Allies. Story via Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The California University of Pennsylvania is getting more student housing, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times. 

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission is aiding commuters find carpools and vanpools, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, through CommuteInfo (be prepared for an annoying car horn beep when entering site).

It has also identified the region’s highest priority transportation projects.

The Pittsburgh-Tribune review has a map of where Department of Transportation grants for trails in the area have been spent.  One trail project has been scaled back.
