After three months with this theme, and searching through numerous other wordpress themes on the internet, I decided that the theme was fine, but the blue/white color scheme had to go.  Unfortunately, you’ll have to suffer through the glare of white temporarily until I find another color scheme that I like.  If you have suggestions for a color scheme or header image that would work for this blog, leave a comment!  Thanks!
