Labor Day marks the return of kids to school (if they aren’t there already) and the start of the Steelers regular season (on Thursday). Fall, with its cool breeze and colorful leaves, is almost upon us.
It also welcomes a number of home tours around the Pittsburgh area:
Sunday, September 10th, 2006 – Annual Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour
Saturday, Sept. 23 — Historic Bethel Presbyterian Church & House Tour — Pittsburgh Tribune-Review story.
Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 — 13th Annual Friendship House Tour
Sunday, October 1, 2006 — Lawrenceville Hospitality House Tour
The Eighteenth Annual Dormont Public Library House Tour was tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10th, but I haven’t seen any publicity about it yet. As an alternate event in Dormont, I would suggest attending the Dormont Revitalization Project’s Wine Tasting and Chinese Auction on September 9, 2006.
The Deutschtown Historic District House Tour for September 2006 was unfortunately cancelled.
