Mapvine is the most recent mashup tool enabling real estate agents and property managers to add a map to their website to show real estate listings without requiring one to dive into the coding behind Google Maps.  You can read more about its launch on the Rentvine Blog.

 

 

I figured I would sign up and give it a try — it is free after all.  I found it has an easy to use interface and I’ll probably use it in the future if it holds up to increased traffic.   

I do have two suggestions / comments for the author: First, the photos in the information box on the google map are pretty small.  It would be nice if they were bigger.  Second, although the “city” box properly geocoded “Pittsburgh, PA”, it sent Mercer, PA and Munhall, PA to the middle of Pennsylvania.  I had to use the zip codes instead.

Since I love comparison shopping, you should also give Mapbuilder and Wayfaring.  Trulia also provides a way for real estate agents to claim their real estate listings on Trulia and publish a map of them to their website.
