Three House Tours and a Cookie Festival in Pgh this weekend

November 30th, 2006 · No Comments

Two weeks ago, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published a list of holiday house tours around Pittsburgh.  Since there are three house tours set for Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, consider this your reminder to start planning them into your weekend.  Also worthy of mention this weekend is the International Cookie Festival in Lawrenceville.

Downtown Apartments or Condos?

November 30th, 2006 · 1 Comment

The latest news in the redevelopment of the Fifth-Forbes area by Millcraft Industries is that there will be no condos, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article.  Instead, the developers are planning to construct apartments to capture historic tax credits.

November 21st, 2006 · 1 Comment

I stumbled across a Realty Times article whose message can pretty simply be summarized as: Don’t steal other people’s content online.  It’s against the law and you could get in trouble.

Second: CityCribs has announced a marketing partnership with Help-U-Sell, where Help-U-Sell listed properties will be found on CityCribs.
I guess [...]

Real Estate Blog press

November 17th, 2006 · 1 Comment

The Dallas Morning News ran an article today about the increasing popularity of real estate blogs among real estate agents.
Although there are a number of statements in the article that I find questionable, it is nice to see the mainstream media recognize a few bloggers for their efforts online.
I’m not going to nit pick through [...]

Horse attacks Real Estate Agent

November 16th, 2006 · No Comments

If a llama charged me while I was showing a home, I hope I’d be laughing when I got back to my car safely.  But when I was later attacked by a horse, I’d probably start looking for a new profession.
