24 hours after the announcement that there will be slots gambling on the North Shore of Pittsburgh and there are already 24 blog entries from this controversial and unexpected decision.
I am most concerned about the Steelers comment that they might attempt to block the casino location through legal action. That move would likely hamper efforts to use money from the new casino to keep the Penguins in Pittsburgh. And if I were to speculate, I would guess that there might be another reason the Steelers would oppose the development of an entertainment complex next door besides their stated concern over access and parking in the area.
The last thing that Pittsburgh needs is for another year (or two) of uncertainty regarding the location of the casino.
