The Mayor’s plan to seize crime ridden properties from landlords, detailed in today’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette here, reminds me of the lawsuits from the music industry to stop the illegal distribution of music.

More Pittsburgh Casino Delays

It has only been a few days since Don Barden and the Majestic Star Casino announced that it would not be able to meets its initial projection of opening in March 2008 because of delays in awarding the casino license.

Contagious Excitement

A Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editorial today noted that the 3.4 billion in projects in the works or in development in downtown Pittsburgh and the North Shore is bringing with it “contagious excitement.”
With the announcement of the Fairmont Pittsburgh and the conversion of the Century Building to loft-apartments (Tribune-Review article here), I’d have to agree.
