Vacancy Rate for Commercial Office Space

The vacancy rate for office space in the downtown area of Pittsburgh in 2006 was up 2% to 20%, according to a report issued by Grubb & Ellis and reported in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Downtown Apartments or Condos?

The latest news in the redevelopment of the Fifth-Forbes area by Millcraft Industries is that there will be no condos, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article. Instead, the developers are planning to construct apartments to capture historic tax credits.

Downtown Pittsburgh Housing Developments

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 246 condos are under construction or in final development in the downtown area, and another 1300 condominiums and apartments are being planned.
