So I discovered that someone dumped some code linking to a bunch of spammy sites into my last two posts. I’ve since eliminated it and upgraded wordpress - so - here’s my TEST POST to see if I’ve got it fixed or if I’ve got to go back to the drawing board.

It has been almost a year since I’ve written an article for Pittsburgh Homes Daily [...]

The Social Networking Challenge - Innovation
June 4th, 2007 · 1 Comment
Here’s a truemor for ya:
Did you hear that Guy Kawasaki is using Redfin to sell this house in Pittsburgh?
Innovation. That’s not what’s happening when a real estate agent figures out how to post a profile on Myspace and even turn that profile into a … gasp … client. Or when a Realtor starts a blog [...]

As part of the city’s 250th birthday bash (Tribune-Review), the Sprout Fund will provide grants (Post-Gazette) to neighborhood organizations and Pittsburgh residents to turn their ideas to commemorate Pittsburgh into reality.
Although the website that the Post-Gazette links to is currently parked, I’m sure that the Sprout Fund or Imagine Pittsburgh will soon have a prominent link to it.
I’m looking forward [...]

The Sunny Side of a Declining Population
April 5th, 2007 · 2 Comments
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette today has an article about the declining population in Pittsburgh. Apparently, Pittsburgh has lost more residents since 2000 than any metropolitan area except New Orleans. This resulted from both a lack of immigration and a declining birth rate.
What the article does not mention is that Pittsburgh is just a little bit less [...]

A for Effort, C for Execution?
March 27th, 2007 · No Comments
The Mayor’s plan to seize crime ridden properties from landlords, detailed in today’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette here, reminds me of the lawsuits from the music industry to stop the illegal distribution of music.
A great idea in theory, but poorly executed. At least that’s my impression after reading the Post-Gazette article. I’m not sure who to believe, [...]
