The Tribune-Review ran a short article yesterday announcing that Pittsburgh’s home improvement professionals ranked second best in the nation according to data released by ServiceMagic.  The data measured whether ServiceMagic.com customers recommended the professional that they hired to others.

Car Sharing comes to Pittsburgh - Welcome Flexcar!

Pittsburgh Art Scene: Best for a Mid-Sized City

That’s the report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette based on a poll conducted by American Style magazine.  Last year, Pittsburgh ranked third.

Pittsburgh’s Top Honors

Wired Magazine named Pittsburgh one of the 10 top tech towns in the country, along with Seattle, San Francisco, and others. 
Cooking Light magazine named Pittsburgh 13th on its list of the 20 Best Cities in America, which was looking for the finest in healthful cuisine and lifestyle.

Pittsburgh Prepared for Evacuation

25 urban areas could face greater challenges than New Orleans experienced after Hurricane Katrina, according to the Emergency Evacuation Report Card 2006 (pdf file) compiled by the American Highway Users Alliance.
Pittsburgh earned a “B”, ranking 4th out of the 37 urban areas studied.
